Well, it all started with ... a passionate hobby.

A couple of years back, our founder Mohammed Althani who owns a small pro-touring garage from his house (still runs it by the way!) was requested by a family member to fix up his 1978 Ford Bronco. A request he graciously accepted; the car was fixed, modified, and delivered in no time. All went well until Mr. Althani was asked to send across an invoice. He was baffled at how many questions he couldn’t answer.

This is how the idea of Biz was conceived. Biz, short for ‘Business’ was a way for us to reach out to small businesses globally and put an end to this wondering. It was founded as a conscious upstart to tackle the problem of expensive & inefficient business management. Focusing just on the automotive sector at first, Mr. Althani along with his two trusty companions went from garage to garage trying to figure out what the real issues were and how they could fix them. From garages to retail auto-parts stores, and expanded to sectors across industries like FMCG, Retail, Hospitality etc. Mr. Althani & the team mapped the entire Qatari region to prepare for what we know today as Biz. It was inspired by real people dealing with real problems.

Biz’s initial approach was to create a digital one-stop-shop to buy/sell car parts and find auto service providers which is how Biz came into play but then it evolved into a passion to create something that’ll not only solve problems for customers but also for the business owners and their employees. After they’d discovered the difficulties posed by regularly functioning teams, it was impossible to go back to the customary ways. A change had to be made and that’s how Biz started out. Biz is a cloud-based Invoicing & Billing solution that helps teams & freelancers in adjusting and visualising their businesses digitally. From coffee shops, retail boutiques & wholesalers to the automotive sector, Biz was made keeping everyone in mind.

They paid so much for something that doesn’t solve even half of their problems. We built Biz because we wanted to fix that. We wanted people to use a product that was easy to use and one that won’t dig a hole in their pockets.”, concluded Mohammed Althani.
